Katherine Smith, Senior Geophysicist
Katherine is a marine geophysicist with 13 years of marine survey experience in both commercial and research environments. She has worked internationally, both on and offshore, in areas which include North Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Arabian Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, Caribbean Sea, South China Sea and Northwest Shelf of Australia.
She specialises in quality control, interpretation and reporting and has extensive experience of interpreting both analogue and digital data, including single beam and multibeam bathymetry, sidescan sonar, sub-bottom profilers, including pinger, boomer, sparker and mini-airgun. Katherine has also worked extensively with high resolution 2D and ultra high resolution 3D seismic interpretation.

Remi Dammert, Geotechnical Engineer
Remi has completed his BTech degree from CPUT in civil engineering, specialising in geotechnics and project management. Remi has spent 2 years working for the site project management team at the FIFA 2010 World Cup Stadium in Cape Town and has been extensively involved in monitoring civil and geotechnical work in the golf course and urban park project surrounding the stadium. He is doing a dissertation comparing 7 Sea Geosciences new “Sonic hammer corerTM” penetration measurements with standard Depth Cone Penetration tests.
