7 Sea Geosciences has embarked on a commercial training programme to promote skills development in the marine sector throughout Africa.

We are offering, in conjunction with the University of the Western Cape, a course in
“Practical Marine Survey”

  • Private individuals
  • National and corporate members

  • A recognised degree or equivalent in geology, geophysics, land survey, hydrographical survey or electronics.
  • Recognised offshore safety and medical certificate.
  • If an attendee does not have a recognised safety qualification or offshore medical these can be obtained in Cape Town in the week prior to the course.
  • A strong desire to cruise the high seas in the search of information.

Delegates will get to collect, process, interpret and report on data over a 3 week period. The course will deal with the fundamentals of sedimentology, marine geological processes, survey, geophysics and survey electronics.
